How Topic Categories Make Post Analytics Actionable

SparkVox groups post labels into core themes and scores funnel stages on the right metrics - so What's Working answers which subjects to double down on.

How Topic Categories Make Post Analytics Actionable
On this page

Post Analytics is only useful when you can answer: which subjects actually move my metrics? That breaks when every post gets its own one-off topic label - customer discovery on Monday, customer research on Wednesday, discovery calls on Friday. Same theme, three strings, no ranking.

Topic labels at generation time

When Sparky drafts posts from a project, it assigns a short label (2-4 words, lowercase) that describes subject matter - not format. New labels reuse your existing vocabulary when they genuinely fit, instead of minting near-duplicates.

Each post also gets a funnel stage: Awareness, Authority, or Conversion. What's Working scores those stages on the metrics each is meant to optimize - reach, engagement, link clicks - and recommends where to shift your next posts.

Topic categories across your library

Over time, SparkVox consolidates historical label sprawl into a small set of broad topic categories - up to about ten core themes you actually talk about. That is what What's Working ranks when you sort by impressions, profile views, or engagement.

The goal is coverage you can act on: double down on the theme that drives profile views, back off the theme that gets reach but no engagement, or fill a gap where you have not posted in a while.

Where categories show up

  • What's Working - topic rankings and funnel stage pills for your selected date range and LinkedIn channel
  • Weekly reports - strategy ideas tied to themes and unused moments
  • Engage inbox - filter comments by funnel stage on posts you published through SparkVox
  • Scheduler coaching - timing hints scoped to channel and funnel stage when enough history exists (Accelerate and Scale)

Voice Confidence tie-in

Publishing tracked posts also feeds the Analytics slice of Voice Confidence (up to 5%). Post Analytics and voice learning now pull in the same direction: what you said, what you approved, and what your audience actually responded to.

Setup: LinkedIn post analytics, how voice learning works, and Voice Confidence explained.
