How long does SparkVox take to process a recording?
Direct answer
SparkVox processing takes roughly one to three minutes per ten minutes of content. A 30-minute call typically returns drafts in three to eight minutes. A 60-minute recording typically takes eight to fifteen minutes. You do not need to stay on the page while it processes - SparkVox sends a notification when drafts are ready.
What happens during processing
SparkVox runs several steps in sequence: transcription (if the source is audio or video rather than a transcript file), speaker diarization (on Guest and Advisor perspectives), moment extraction across the full transcript, post generation against your voice profile, virality scoring, and funnel-stage grouping. Each step adds a small amount of time; the bulk of processing is transcription on longer files.
How to speed it up
Uploading a transcript file instead of audio or video skips the transcription step and significantly reduces processing time. If you already have a .txt or .srt export from Fathom, Fireflies, Otter, or your video editor, upload that instead of the recording. Transcript uploads are not available with Guest or Advisor perspectives that require speaker diarization.
What counts against processing time
Processing time is charged based on minutes of content submitted, not on how long the server takes. A 45-minute recording uses 45 minutes of your processing allowance whether it returns drafts in five minutes or fifteen. Transcript-only uploads do not consume processing credits.
