How to Turn Your Fathom Notetaker Recordings into LinkedIn Content

Fathom gives you transcripts and summaries. SparkVox turns those recordings into LinkedIn posts in your voice. Here is how to connect them and what the workflow produces from a single sales call.

How to Turn Your Fathom Notetaker Recordings into LinkedIn Content
On this page

Fathom records your calls and produces transcripts, summaries, and action items. If you use it, you already know it is good at that job. What Fathom does not do is turn those recordings into LinkedIn posts in your voice. That gap is exactly what this post is about.

What Fathom gives you - and what it stops short of

Fathom's core output after a call:

  • A full transcript with speaker labels
  • An AI-generated meeting summary organized by topic
  • Action items extracted from the conversation
  • Sharable clips and highlights

That is genuinely useful for follow-up emails, note-taking, and async team updates. It is not useful for LinkedIn, because LinkedIn posts do not read like meeting summaries. They read like opinions, frameworks, and stories told in a specific person's voice.

The gap between "here is what was discussed on this call" and "here is a post worth reading from that call" is significant. Fathom gets you to the transcript. Getting from the transcript to LinkedIn posts requires a different step.

The content hiding in your Fathom library

If you have used Fathom for more than a few months, your library contains recordings of calls where you said things worth sharing. You explained your approach to a skeptical prospect. You pushed back on an assumption a customer had. You articulated why your market is being solved wrong by most of the players in it. You told a story about a client outcome that made the thing you do feel concrete.

None of that made it to LinkedIn. It lived in Fathom and then got buried under the next week of calls.

This is true for founders especially. A high-volume call schedule means Fathom is accumulating a library of content assets every week. The question is not whether the content exists - it does. The question is whether you have a system to extract and publish it.

How to connect Fathom to SparkVox

SparkVox has a native Fathom integration. Here is the workflow:

  1. In SparkVox, go to Settings → Integrations and connect your Fathom account.
  2. When creating a new project, select New Project → Meetings. Your recent Fathom recordings appear in the list alongside any Fireflies or Zoom recordings you have connected.
  3. Select the call you want to process. Choose a source kind (Sales & Advisory for most calls, Knowledge & Advisory for trainings or workshops) and a perspective (Expert or Advisor depending on whether you want posts from your framing or your strategic advice).
  4. SparkVox imports the recording server-side - no manual download required - and processes the full transcript.

You can also upload a Fathom export directly if you prefer. Fathom lets you download transcripts as text files or export recordings as MP4. Both formats work in SparkVox.

What happens after you upload a Fathom recording

Sparky reads the full call transcript. Rather than summarizing the conversation, it scans for moments: a contrarian position you staked out, a framework you named, a short story with a clear lesson, a stat you cited, a question you answered in a way that would stand on its own as a post.

Each moment becomes a separate LinkedIn post draft, grouped by funnel stage - Awareness, Authority, or Conversion. A 45-minute sales call typically produces six to ten drafts. Review takes about five minutes: read each one, edit the hook if needed, skip any that reference sensitive deal details, and approve the ones that sound like you.

Nothing publishes without your approval. Every draft you edit before approving teaches Sparky your style corrections - phrasing, sentence rhythm, how direct you are - so the next Fathom project needs less editing.

A realistic example: what one sales call produces

Take a 45-minute discovery call where you spend significant time explaining why a common approach to your market is wrong, tell a short story about a client who found this out the hard way, and outline the three-step process you use instead.

From that call, a Fathom-to-SparkVox workflow might produce:

  • An awareness post on the "wrong approach" - contrarian take, shareable without context
  • An authority post unpacking the three-step process with specifics
  • A short story post about the client situation (anonymized if needed)
  • A data post citing the stat you mentioned to make the problem concrete
  • A conversion post connecting the problem to who you work with

Five to eight posts from a call you were going to have anyway. That is the leverage point. Fathom captures the call; SparkVox extracts the content.

What this workflow is not for

Not every Fathom recording is worth processing. Internal team standups, scheduling calls, and brief check-ins rarely produce content worth publishing. The calls that work best are ones where you are actually explaining something: your perspective on a market problem, your approach to a client challenge, your framework for a decision the prospect is trying to make.

If you can listen to the first five minutes of a call and think "I said something worth reading on LinkedIn here," process it. If the call was primarily status updates and action items, let Fathom handle it and move on.

Try it with your next Fathom recording

The easiest way to understand the workflow is to run one call through it. Connect Fathom in Settings, pick a recent call where you said something worth sharing, and review the drafts. The 14-day Pro trial includes 30 minutes of processing time - enough for two or three calls. No charge until day 15.
