How to Turn Your Fireflies Notetaker Recordings into LinkedIn Content

Fireflies captures transcripts and meeting summaries. SparkVox extracts LinkedIn posts from those same recordings. Here is the native integration workflow and which calls in your Fireflies library are worth processing.

How to Turn Your Fireflies Notetaker Recordings into LinkedIn Content
On this page

Fireflies records your calls, generates transcripts, and lets you search across everything ever said in every meeting. If you use it, you know what it does well. What it does not do is turn those recordings into LinkedIn posts in your voice. This post covers how to close that gap.

What Fireflies gives you - and what it stops short of

Fireflies' core output from any recorded call:

  • A full searchable transcript with speaker labels
  • An AI-generated meeting summary with action items
  • Topic trackers and sentiment analysis
  • Shareable clips and AskFred (conversational search across your meeting history)

That is a strong capture and retrieval tool. It is not a content tool. "Here is what was discussed in this meeting" is structurally different from "here is a post worth reading from this meeting," and no combination of Fireflies features closes that gap automatically.

The output that gets you closest - the meeting summary - is written to inform attendees, not to persuade a LinkedIn audience. Converting it into posts requires rewriting from scratch, which is exactly the friction most founders never get around to.

The content already in your Fireflies library

Fireflies' searchable history is one of its most underused features for content purposes. You can search across all your recordings for a phrase, a topic, or a specific person's name and surface every time you said something relevant. That is a content asset most people treat purely as a retrieval tool.

Think about what you have said in the last six months on calls that was worth sharing publicly: a framework you explained to a skeptical prospect, a counterintuitive take you gave in an advisory session, a specific story you told that made the stakes of a problem concrete. Fireflies has all of it. The missing piece is turning those moments into LinkedIn posts.

How to connect Fireflies to SparkVox

SparkVox has a native Fireflies integration. The setup:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations in SparkVox and connect your Fireflies account.
  2. When creating a new project, select New Project → Meetings. Your recent Fireflies recordings appear alongside any Fathom or Zoom recordings you have connected.
  3. Select the call. Choose a source kind (Sales & Advisory for most calls) and a perspective (Advisor for multi-speaker calls where you want posts from your contributions only, Expert for solo trainings or talks).
  4. SparkVox imports the recording server-side - no download required - and processes the full transcript.

You can also upload a Fireflies export manually. Fireflies lets you download transcripts in multiple formats; a plain .txt file uploaded to SparkVox as a transcript project skips reprocessing.

What the Fireflies-to-SparkVox workflow produces

Sparky reads the full call transcript - not just the summary - and looks for moments worth sharing as LinkedIn posts: a contrarian position, a named framework, a short story with a lesson, a stat worth debating. For multi-speaker calls using Advisor perspective, speaker diarization isolates your voice so posts come from what you said, not from what everyone said.

Each moment becomes a separate draft, grouped by funnel stage. A 45-minute sales call typically yields six to ten drafts. You review in your project, approve what sounds like you, edit hooks where needed, and publish. The whole review step takes about five minutes once the voice profile is established.

Which Fireflies recordings are worth processing

Not every call in your Fireflies library has LinkedIn content. The ones that usually do:

  • Sales and discovery calls where you articulated your approach, challenged an assumption, or told a client story that made the problem concrete
  • Advisory and strategy calls where you named a framework or gave a pointed recommendation
  • Podcast guest appearances captured over Zoom or Teams and logged by Fireflies
  • Internal presentations where you explained a decision, a market view, or a product direction to your team

Calls to skip: status updates, scheduling, technical support, anything where the conversation was primarily logistics rather than ideas.

A note on Fireflies vs Fathom for this workflow

Fireflies and Fathom both integrate with SparkVox. The main difference relevant to repurposing: Fireflies' AskFred lets you surface past moments across your whole history, which can be useful for finding older calls worth processing. Fathom tends to produce cleaner speaker attribution on standard calls. Either works as a content source; the SparkVox workflow is identical regardless of which call recorder you use.
