Cookies and analytics

SparkVox uses different analytics on the marketing website (sparkvox.io) and the app (app.sparkvox.io). PostHog and Google Analytics 4 on sparkvox.io load after cookie consent. The Meta Pixel runs on both sparkvox.io and app.sparkvox.io for ad measurement and is not gated by that banner.

Marketing website (sparkvox.io)

sparkvox.io uses a cookie consent banner for PostHog and Google Analytics 4. Those load only after you accept. Declining or dismissing the banner keeps them off. Use Cookie preferences in the site footer to change that choice at any time (accepting or declining reloads the page so analytics state stays correct). The Meta Pixel is separate and always runs on sparkvox.io and app.sparkvox.io.

PostHog and Google Analytics 4 in your browser track page views, button clicks, UTM attribution, and Sparky chat events when you accept cookies. GA4 measures aggregate traffic. Legal basis for those tools: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). If you decline cookies, PostHog and GA4 stay off. The Meta Pixel measures page views, ClickSignup (signup CTA taps), signup, trial starts, and ad attribution on sparkvox.io and app.sparkvox.io. It may set Meta cookies such as _fbp on .sparkvox.io and is not controlled by the banner.

SparkVox also records aggregate Sparky widget usage server-side (for example widget opens and messages sent) without using your browser's PostHog, GA4, or Meta Pixel cookies. This helps us measure chat funnel performance and improve the marketing site.

App (app.sparkvox.io)

The app does not load Google Analytics or marketing-site PostHog/GA4. PostHog is initialised for product analytics. After you sign in, PostHog identifies your session and may set first-party cookies on .sparkvox.io to attribute usage events. We use person_profiles: identified_only - no person profile is created until you sign in. The Meta Pixel runs in the app for signup and trial-start ad measurement.

Limited anonymous PostHog pageview events may occur before sign-in (for example on the signup page). The app does not show a separate cookie banner for PostHog; we rely on legitimate interest for that limited pre-login product analytics (no person profiles, first-party cookies only). The Meta Pixel runs separately for ad measurement and may set _fbp on .sparkvox.io.

Strictly necessary cookies in the app

• Supabase auth cookies (sb-*) for your login session.
• Stripe fraud-prevention cookies (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) when you add a payment method.

Local storage (not cookies)

• Cookie consent choice on sparkvox.io (sparkvox_cookie_consent in localStorage) - PostHog and GA4 only; Meta Pixel is separate.
• Marketing Sparky widget: short browser cache for fast reopen; a stored conversation (and full message history on SparkVox servers) is created only after you send your first message.
• UTM and referral parameters in sessionStorage during a browser session.
• Help drawer UI preferences in the app (browser local storage).
