Understanding LinkedIn performance in SparkVox
What Post Analytics metrics, funnel stages, and topic labels mean for your direct LinkedIn publishes.
Post Analytics in SparkVox tracks posts you published directly to LinkedIn through the app. Metrics come from LinkedIn's member post analytics API and refresh on a schedule (see sparkvox.io/help/linkedin-post-analytics). This article explains what the numbers mean and how Sparky uses them in coaching.
Core metrics
- Impressions - how many times your post appeared in feeds
- Profile views - how many people viewed your LinkedIn profile after seeing the post
- Engagement rate - reactions, comments, and reshares relative to reach (org posts may show LinkedIn's pre-calculated rate)
- Link clicks - clicks on links in the post body
- Comments and reshares - conversation and amplification signals
- Follower gains - new followers attributed to the post
Funnel stages (What's Working)
The What's Working tab scores three funnel stages on the metric each stage is meant to optimize:
- Awareness - reach and impressions: are enough people seeing your posts?
- Authority - engagement: are viewers reacting and commenting?
- Conversion - link clicks: are posts driving action off LinkedIn?
Sparky compares your stage averages and recommends where to shift - for example, more trust-building posts when engagement lags behind reach.
Topic labels
During project processing, Sparky assigns a short topic label to each post (for example pricing, customer discovery, or team culture). Labels reuse your existing vocabulary when possible instead of minting near-duplicates. Over time, SparkVox groups labels into broad topic categories (up to about ten core themes) so What's Working ranks subjects you actually talk about, not one label per post. Topic labels describe subject matter, not post format.
Peer benchmark and lift
Posting Impact compares your recent cadence to a peer benchmark for founders and executives with similar posting patterns. Weekly reports and digest emails also show lift vs your typical week for profile views. Use these as directional coaching - your audience and niche are unique.
Posting timing and your peak window
What's Working includes best-time-to-post coaching from your weekday and hour patterns (after you have enough direct publishes with impressions). When SparkVox has enough analytics snapshots, it also appends when your posts typically reach peak impressions - so timing advice reflects your audience's actual response curve, not only industry averages. On Accelerate and Scale, the same coaching feeds the inline scheduler and Reschedule modal when you queue a post - scoped to channel and funnel stage when possible.
See sparkvox.io/help/scheduling-linkedin-posts for how timing suggestions appear when you schedule and sparkvox.io/help/linkedin-post-analytics for how the personalised decay curve shapes the Posting Impact chart projection.
Personal profile vs company pages
If you publish to both your personal profile and company pages, use the channel filter in Post Analytics to scope metrics per identity. Company page posts may show unique impressions in addition to total impressions. Enable identities under Settings → Integrations → LinkedIn.
